Tent Officer Role & Responsibilities
The role of a tent officer is a great way to experience NFCC. You still take part in all the games and activities as well as acting as the first point of contact for the children in your tent.
Your main responsibility is to be with your tent/team during games, quiet time sessions, evening meetings & meal times to ensure the campers feel safe, happy & enjoy their week at camp.
Your role includes:
- Supporting the children in your tent and building relationships with them
- Getting your campers up in the morning!
- Preparing for tent inspection
- Facilitating quiet times (reflecting on the message and bible verses from the previous evening)
- Coordinating duty tent & getting all of your tent involved
- Getting the campers ready for each activity on time
- Looking after any under 13’s in your tent (with support from leaders) during trips off site
- Getting your campers to bed
Support for you
We are so grateful for your leadership and support for all the young people who come to camp for the week - we literally couldn’t do camp without you! We also appreciate that at times you may need support and so if you need to chat or pray about anything then the leaders are always available for you to.
If you have a specific concern then it may be more helpful to find the appropriate leader (see below) however, if in doubt then any of the camp leaders will be happy to help.
